"1973" is the first piece of the extreme mixed media trilogy.
One of Ben&Julia most acclaimed work , 1973 acts as an homage to Jim Henson and Heinz Edelmann and all the fabulous imagery from the 70's early 80's.
Nature plays a strong role in this film and it was shot where Julia grew up in Switzerland.
Ben&Julia Studio have created not less than 53 different characters for the purpose of this film.
The specificity of its aesthetic is how all this different graphical elements and techniques cohabit into one piece, this technique of integration being probably one of their best-kept secret.
